Seasons Greetings! I hope you enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday. I was
lucky to spend almost an entire week with my daughter, as she was on break and
visiting from UVM. While I miss the younger years, there is so much to be
said about seeing your child as an adult.
So we had an extra day off this week. I apologize for the
number of calls you may have received. The call to delay or cancel school
normally gets sent out by the Superintendent’s office at NCSU. The call
delay was supposed to go out at 5:30 a.m., and it did not, and ...

We served approximately 540 lunches on Thursday. It was very
special to see parents and family members eating lunch with children at school.
A tremendous thank you to our very busy and talented kitchen ladies, as
well as Community National Bank who provided turkeys and volunteers.
There is no school PreK – 12 next week Wednesday, Nov 23 – Friday,
November 25, 2016. Enjoy the holiday!
Teachers are working hard on report cards, and they will be
sent home with children on Friday, December 2, 2016.

Thanks for keeping the candy at home. On an unfortunate
note, I am sure you’ve heard the news with advice to check candy. I’ve
heard there has been a specific issue in Derby Line.
I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Gentry wrote a grant, and
Walmart has granted us $ 1,000.00 to develop an outdoor classroom space and
equipment for our garden! This allows us to maximize our Farm to School
grant money for more classroom ...
