  • October 10, 2016 We are pleased to have our first Farm to School Taste Test this week on Friday, October 14, 2016.  3rd graders will be preparing a kale and veggie soup from our school garden harvest.  Photos from Oct. 5’s harvest are on the FB page. ___________________   Did you know? Ms. Chambers is working with our 6th graders to build two Gaga Ball Pits for our playground. The plan is to build one for big kids this fall and one for smaller children in the spring. We are seeking donations. Don't know what Gaga Ball is? If your children have been to Coutts Camp, they probably can explain it to you.  Otherwise, click on the link ...

  • Fuel Up For Our School - Friday, October 7 We have an exciting fundraising event coming up this Friday, October 7, 2016 to raise money for our Winter Activities Program, Farm to School Program, and materials for Project Based Learning.   Come fill your gas tank Friday, Oct. 7 between 4-8pm at the Irving in Derby Line! Staff will be there to pump your gas and wash your windows. You may even see Stripes, the Derby Tiger.   Circle K will donate a portion of the proceeds from gas sold at pump #1 to Derby Elementary School so that we can fund these programs.

  • September 21, 2016 It’s hard to believe we have already been in school for 4 weeks.  Mrs. Gentry our new Assistant Principal, has been telling me how impressed she is with your children – they are very polite and friendly!   Reporting absences or unexpected pick ups from school:  Please call our school with with these requests, or send a note in with your child.  We ask that you NOT email these requests, as it is the not the most reliable way to get the information to us.  Sometimes the receptionist may be away from the office, unable to check the computer, the email system may be down, etc, and then we might not get your email.   The phone will always be answered and ...
