class with tower and teacher
This tower is officially taller than our tallest teacher!
Kindergarteners in Mrs. Fillmore's class showed us all how powerful teamwork can be—they built a tower taller than our tallest teacher...thank you Mr. Chambers!, As one student wisely put it, “Teamwork makes the dreamwork!” A great reminder for all of us that when we work together, there’s no limit to what we can build, create, or achieve.
Cognia Testing for Grades 3-6
Next week, students in grades 3-6 will begin taking the Cognia assessments, which help us reflect on and strengthen our academic programs. To help your child (and all students) do their best, please make sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a hearty breakfast, and arrive to school on time.

For students not testing, we'll continue with our regular engaging learning activities, and they will play an important role in helping to maintain a calm, focused environment for their classmates. Thank you for your support!
Marching through March
March in Vermont is a little bit of everything—muddy boots, melting snowbanks, and the sweet smell of maple syrup season! It’s also a time when kids may feel the tug between winter and spring. To help keep spirits high and bodies active, here are a few simple ways to embrace the season as a family:

  • Visit a local sugarhouse to watch maple sugaring in action (and maybe sample a treat or two!).
  • Take a mud season nature walk—look for signs of spring like returning birds, running streams, or budding trees.
  • Have an indoor maple-themed cooking day—try baking with maple syrup or making maple butter together.
  • Keep a March weather journal—track the wild shifts from sun to snow to mud!
