This spring, we’re continuing to focus on the four core behaviors that make our school community a wonderful place to learn and grow:
Respect – Listening when others are speaking, using kind words, and taking care of school property.
➔ At home: Model respectful communication by practicing "listening turns" at dinner or during car rides. Praise respectful moments when you see them!
On Task – Following directions, staying focused during lessons, and using time wisely.
➔ At home: Set up short, focused "work times" for homework or chores, followed by a quick brain break or reward to reinforce the habit.
Always Safe – Making choices that protect yourself and others, like walking in hallways, keeping hands to yourself, and using equipment properly.
➔ At home: Talk about "safety checks" — for example, "Before we leave for the park, what safety rules do we need to remember?"
Responsible – Owning your actions, completing work, and helping when needed.
➔ At home: Give your child a small leadership role — like packing their own backpack or helping to plan a family outing — to practice responsibility in a real way.
