No Food on the Bus – Safety First!

We want to remind families that eating on the bus is not allowed. While it may seem harmless, food can quickly become a choking hazard—especially for our youngest riders—and many students have food allergies we may not be aware of. Please talk with your child about not eating on the bus and not accepting food from others, even if it's offered kindly. Keeping everyone safe starts with these small, important habits.

Rescheduled Field Day for Grades 1–3 – This Wednesday!

We're excited to hold our rescheduled Field Day for 1st–3rd graders this Wednesday (weather permitting)!
If you're joining us:
  • Please check in at the hill upon arrival
  • Dismissal: If your child will be leaving early with you, please check them out directly with their teacher before leaving the field.
  • Sportsmanship & Smiles: We’re here to have fun and show our ROAR—remind your child to be a great teammate, cheer others on, and enjoy the day!

Striking the right balance between security and a welcoming atmosphere takes teamwork—and we’re grateful for families who help us maintain this balance by following school procedures. Your support means we can continue offering memorable events and experiences for our students.

Memorial Day Weekend – No School Monday

Just a reminder that there will be no school Monday in observance of Memorial Day. We hope your family enjoys a restful long weekend and takes a moment to reflect. We look forward to seeing students back on Tuesday, ready for the final stretch of the school year!

In the Spirit of Memorial Day
  • Create thank-you cards for local veterans or active service members—drop them off at a VFW or send through a local organization.
  • Visit a veterans' memorial or cemetery as a family and talk about the meaning of the holiday in age-appropriate ways.
  • Watch a patriotic movie like The Sandlot, A League of Their Own, or Hidden Figures and talk about teamwork, history, and courage.
  • Make red, white & blue snacks together—think fruit kabobs, layered parfaits, or flag-inspired toast.
