We’ve made it through our first full week of school!
Thank you, families, for helping us get off to such a strong start!

One important reminder: riding the bus is a privilege, and we need all students to help keep it safe and calm. Lately, buses have been a little too lively with noise and rowdiness. Please remind your child that voices should be low, bodies should stay seated, and hands and feet kept to themselves. Safe, respectful bus rides mean everyone arrives ready to learn and make it home on time!

Tiger Spotlight

This month’s Teacher Spotlight is all about new beginnings—celebrating a beloved teacher in a new role and welcoming a brand new intervention teacher to our team.

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Ashley McKenny, MTSS Coordinator

Our MTSS Coordinator wears many hats, all focused on helping students succeed—let’s get to know Mrs. McKenny a little better!

  • Her go-to comfort food is Thai food.
  • The first concert she ever attended? Kenny Chesney
  • When she's not teaching, you might find her on a mountaintop or on the shore with her family.
  • If teaching hadn’t called her name, she might be an interior decorator!
  • One more fun fact? She used to be an equestrian rider!

We’re excited to see the positive impact she’ll continue to make for students and staff alike.

This week we’re celebrating Callie Young, Intervention teacher

We’re excited to welcome Callie Young to our school family this year as our new intervention teacher! Here’s a little peek at the person behind the title:

  • If she could only eat one food forever, it would be tacos.
  • Her first-ever concert? The Cure
  • If she wasn't teaching, you’d probably find her working as a ski coach.
  • Fun Fact: She worked at Cajuns Snack Bar for nine summers!
  • Favorite place in Vermont: The top of Jay Peak

We’re lucky to have her talents and energy joining our intervention program.

ROAR Reminder

Our school-wide expectations—Respect, On Task, Always Safe and Responsibility—help us all stay on track.
This week’s ROAR focus is Respect: listening when others are speaking, using kind words, and treating our school spaces with care.

When we all show respect, we build a community where everyone feels safe and valued.

Tigertastic Tips

Consistency is key!
Children thrive when routines at home match expectations at school. A quick “How did you show ROAR today?” on the ride home or at the dinner table is a simple way to connect school values with home life and give your child a chance to celebrate their positive choices.
