Reindeer ROAR in Full Effect!

We were thrilled to welcome a very special visitor to our school this week—Cupid! A huge thank-you to our very own Pauline, one of our amazing paraprofessionals, and her husband from the Vermont Reindeer Farm, for making this unforgettable experience possible. Our students showed incredible curiosity, kindness, and respect—true ROAR behavior in action. What a magical day of learning before break!

Tiger Spotlight

This week’s spotlight shines on two incredible members of our Tiger Team.

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Jessica Sicotte, 6th grade math teacher

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Mrs. Sicotte, who you might know as one of our 6th grade teachers but did you know...
  • Her go-to comfort food is pizza
  • The first concert she ever attended? Toby Keith
  • When she's not teaching, you might find her basking in the sunshine.
  • Her favorite place in Vermont (or beyond): in a boat on any body of water
  • A hidden talent you might not guess: singing...she's performed at many weddings!
  • One more fun fact: She was stung by a stingray in Mexico!
We're excited for the positive energy and care she brings to her classroom everyday!

This week we’re celebrating Kendra Perkins, 3rd grade teacher

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Ms. Perkins who you might know as one of our third grade teachers but did you know…
  • If she could only eat one food forever: Tacos
  • Her favorite TV shows: Masked Singer and Criminal Minds
  • When she's not teaching, you probably will find her snuggling with her dog
  • Her favorite place in Vermont (or beyond): Willoughby Lake
  • A song she'll never skip: Slow It Down by Benson Boone
  • And a fun fact about her? She knows sign language!
We’re lucky to have her supporting our Tigers with this essential role!

ROAR Reminder

Responsibility in Action
As we head into an exciting week before break, we’re focusing on Responsibility—especially in shared spaces like our bathrooms. Being responsible means using school spaces the right way, even when energy is high.
We’re reminding students to:
  • Use the bathroom for its intended purpose
  • Use supplies appropriately (a little goes a long way!)
  • Clean up after themselves and wash hands
  • Respect the space so it’s ready for the next person
These expectations help keep bathrooms safe, clean, and open for everyone. Families can support us by having a quick check-in conversation at home about taking care of shared spaces and making responsible choices at school.

Tigertastic Tips

Breaks are wonderful…and a big shift in routine! A few TigerTastic tips for a smoother two weeks:
  • Keep a loose routine (predictability helps!)
  • Prioritize sleep—even just a little consistency goes a long way
  • Mix in reading, games, or creative time to keep minds active
  • Get outside when you can—fresh air does wonders
  • Talk about feelings—excitement, boredom, and big emotions are all normal
We hope your family enjoys time to rest, recharge, and reconnect. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community!
