Welcome Back After April Break

We hope your family enjoyed a restful and fun April break! As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we are excited to welcome students back for a season full of learning, growth, celebrations, and spring energy. Attendance, routines, and strong habits matter more than ever this time of year—let’s finish the year strong together!

Encore reminder from Miss K

When we return on Monday, we will still be in Session 4 of Encore (we know the timing is a little unusual this round!). Session 5 will begin on May 4 and run through June 5.

Student Placement for Next Year

Planning for next school year is already underway! In the coming weeks, we will begin the thoughtful process of building class lists for next year. Our goal is to create balanced classroom communities where all students can be successful academically, socially, and emotionally.
Families are invited to share information about their child’s learning style, strengths, and needs using the form linked below. While we are unable to accept requests for specific teachers, your input is valuable and helps guide our decision-making process.
Please submit responses by Thursday, May 7.
Thank you for partnering with us in this important process.

ROAR Reminder

As spring blooms around us, it is the perfect time to help kindness bloom too. This month, we are encouraging students to shower others with kindness and “show their stripes” through our ROAR expectations: Respectful, On Task, Always Safe, and Responsible.

Kindness can be shown in many simple ways—offering a helping hand, inviting someone to join in, using encouraging words, showing patience, or taking care of shared spaces. Just like flowers need sunshine and rain to grow, our school community grows stronger when kindness is shared each day.

Ask your child: How did you help kindness bloom today?

Tigertastic Tips

Getting back into routines after vacation can be tough for everyone! A few simple resets at home can make the transition smoother:
  • Return to regular bedtime and wake-up schedules
  • Pack backpacks and choose clothes the night before
  • Re-establish screen time routines on school nights
  • Talk positively about coming back to school
  • Make sure students arrive on time and ready to learn
A strong morning routine helps children feel calm, confident, and prepared for the day ahead.

The Buses Are Back in Business (All 7 of Them!)

We’re rolling back into our regularly scheduled routine after break!
Monday morning, 4/27, we’ll be back to all 7 bus runs—just like before. That means things should feel a lot more familiar (and hopefully a little smoother for everyone!).
Be sure to check the bus lists so you know exactly which run your child is assigned to. Thanks for your flexibility and understanding!
