Winter Activities Day

Winter Activity Days are for students in grades 4, 5, and 6. On these days, school is held outside at one of three locations: Jay Peak ski/ride, Jay Peak skate/nordic, or Coutts Moriarity Camp. Your student has brought home a permission slip which needs to be returned no later than Thursday, November 29. For all students and chaperones who are downhill skiing or snowboarding MUST complete the following forms by following this link: REQUIRED RENTAL AND WAIVER FORMS Everyone must sign the waiver and if students are renting equipment, parents must sign the equipment waiver as well. Jay Peak recognizes there are some hang-ups with the Rental release form and they are working to resolve the problems. In the meantime, please do your best to complete the forms. As far as the excessive required questions - parents should put in as much info as they can as the child’s info. We don’t need to know any personal info about the parents except emergency contact information and signatures. If the parent doesn’t know the answer to a required field, or doesn’t feel comfortable answering, write n/a or -0- or something in the required field to make the computer program happy in order to proceed and submit the signed waivers. Again, we don’t need to know any heights or weights etc. for the parents. They are sorry for the hassle, but this is a glitch we will have fixed by next season.

Please contact Sherrie Gentry if you have any questions or if you are unable to complete the forms. Students will not be allowed to attend the Jay Peak downhill ski/snowboard field trip if the forms aren't signed.

Parents interested in chaperoning must have passed the background check at the Supervisory Union. Click HERE for the forms to complete. These must be taken to the Supervisory Union office in Newport.
